Privacy policy

This explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than the usual wall of defensive legalese.
What we collect
Your name, email, phone number and delivery addresses — the minimum needed to cook your food and bring it to the right door.
Your order history, so you can reorder in three taps.
Basic analytics about how the site is used: pages visited, rough device type, and whether things broke. This is aggregated and never tied to your name.
Advertising measurement through the Meta (Facebook) Pixel: which pages you viewed here, what you added to the cart, and whether you started an order. Meta may connect this to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one, which is how we can tell whether our ads are worth running.
What we do not collect
We do not store your card details. Payments are handled by our processor, and the numbers never touch our servers.
We do not buy data about you from anyone else.
We do not send Meta your name, email, phone number or delivery address. The pixel receives page and cart activity only.
Advertising and how to opt out
We run ads on Facebook and Instagram, and the Meta Pixel on this site tells us which of them actually lead to orders. It also lets us show ads to people who visited but did not order.
If you would rather not be included, any of these will stop it: turn off "Activity off Meta technologies" in your Facebook or Instagram settings, use a browser content blocker, or enable your browser's tracking protection. Blocking it does not affect your ability to browse or order here.
Meta acts as an independent controller for the data it receives. What it does with that data is governed by Meta's own privacy policy, not this one.
Who we share it with
Our delivery riders see your name, address and phone number for the duration of your delivery, and nothing else.
Our payment processor receives what it needs to take the payment.
Meta receives the advertising-measurement data described above — page views, cart activity, and no contact details.
That is the entire list. We do not sell your data, and we never will. If we are ever acquired, this commitment transfers or the data is deleted.
Your rights
You can request a copy of everything we hold about you by emailinghello@saladwala.in. We will send it within 30 days.
You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time from the settings page. Deletion is permanent and immediate, apart from order records we are legally required to retain for tax purposes.
You can opt out of marketing at any time without losing access to order updates.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.
